These conditions shouldn’t wait for a clinic visit.

Excessive bleeding or pain

If you are bleeding more than a pad an hour, or for more than several weeks in a row, or feeling lightheaded and dizzy, go to your nearest emergency room.

If you are having excessive pelvic or abdominal pain that is not relieved by over the counter pain relievers, go to emergency.

Ovarian torsion

If you have abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting, and you have a known large ovarian cyst as told to you by your doctor, please go to emergency.


Bleeding or very painful genital / saddle injury

If you or your child has had an injury to their vulva and it is bleeding, extremely painful, or she is unable to urinate, please go to the hospital. If there is concern for assault, please let the doctor know.
